Dear Mountain Partnership members,

This is the period of the year during which the call for applications for the IPROMO course is sent out as it normally takes place in July. In fact, we have received a few emails inquiring about the topic and the dates of the 2020 course.

While everything was already organised for this course, focussing on "mountains and the impact of climate change", due to the current pandemic crisis we had to postpone it to - hopefully - next September.

Half of the world's biodiversity hotspots are concentrated in mountains. Mountains are home to one-third of all plant species; 45 000 plant species have been found in the tropical Andes alone.
