Dear Sir/Madame, My name is Paulina Prasula and I work for Monitoring and Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Mitigation Potential in Agriculture (MAGHG) project. I am writing to you because I would like to kindly ask you to provide me a list of all newsletters which are available through the listserv. Kind regards, Paulina Prasula
I am curious where you obtain information about this mail list and the listserv, because this is the first email for two and a half years that I have received from this list. I didn't even know the existence nor the fact that I am on this list.
Nevertheless, being the R focal point, I am more than happy to help. Can you please elaborate what you meant by newsletters and what you are looking for?
Just wanted to share with you the news about a package that helps converting from different country coding systems (iso2, iso3, fao, un...).
If you are working with country-level data, it happens often that the countries will be spelled differently, have different codes etc... With the package countrycode, conversion to your favourite code (fao?) is facilitated.
Please note that the R-HELP mailing list, to which you were previously subscribed, has a new address: [log in to unmask]
This change allows to use a new mailing list service, which has as principal advantage to have a web interface, allowing also to search in the archives: https://listserv.fao.org/cgi-bin/wa
Although the mailing list has not been used much in the previous month, it is still available. So if anyone is using R and seeks help for a special topic, or if anyone wants to share some new exciting tool in R, please feel free to write anytime to the list!
