Dear Colleagues, I am interested in the compositional difference between wild plants and cultivars, between uncultivated and cultivated conditions of the same species, and the health effect such difference can produce. I myself do field experiment to compare various vegetables in different culture conditions, especially in nearby natural condition (no-till/no-fertilizer/no-chemical). I measured some minerals and second metabolite with colleagues and discovered some difference that might be affected by the surrounding biodiversity. reference: http://journals.cambridge.org/download.php?file=%2FPNS%2FPNS72_OCE5%2FS0029665113003479a.pdf&code=194bb8be742e4d36d69390f92ddf4fcd http://www.sonycsl.co.jp/person/masa_funabashi/CSDC_e-laboratory/Comparison%20of%20Major%20Minerals%20Uptake%20between%20Conventional%20and%20Non%20Tillage_Non%20Fertilizer%20Vegetables%20in%20Japan.pdf To deepen the analysis, I am searching for the references that treat the compositional difference between wild plants and cultivars, cultured and uncultured conditions, and the effect they can produce on our health. I have some well-known references such as: -InFoods Database that has the parameters of "wild" plants and other culture conditions http://www.fao.org/infoods/infoods/tables-and-databases/faoinfoods-databases/zh/ (Thanks to Ruth Charrondiere for informing me at the 1st IMEKOFOODS) -Compositional analysis on the wild plants in Crete Island and correlated health statistics http://www.karger.com/Article/Abstract/69928 -Nutritional composition and flavonoid content of edible wild greens and green pies http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0308814600000911 -Comparative analysis on the wild gathered food plants in the European mediterranean http://link.springer.com/article/10.1663/0013-0001(2006)60%5B130:WGFPIT%5D2.0.CO%3B2#page-1 I would like to ask if someone knows related references in this stream, especially on micronutrients, second metabolite and its biological effect.
