Concern Worldwide is looking for an *Agriculture and Natural Resource
Adviser*, based in Dublin or London with substantial (30%) overseas travel,
to provide technical and strategic support to country programmes on climate
smart agriculture, including CA and FMNR, and natural resource management
in the Sahel and Horn of Africa (Chad, Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya,
South Sudan, Niger, CAR) and Afghanistan & Pakistan.
*Requirements*
A postgraduate degree in agriculture, crop science, animal production,
veterinary medicine, soil science, natural resource management,
environmental science or related field with a minimum of five years’
experience working in the area of agriculture and livestock for an NGO,
development agency or the private sector, three of which should have been
based in a developing country in Sub Saharan Africa or Asia. Experience in
dryland agriculture, soil and water conservation and rangeland management
and experience of working with international research institutions,
including CGIAR institutions, and relevant national agriculture and
livestock institutions in the focus countries.
The candidate should have good French and be legally entitled to work in
Ireland at the time of application.
