FAO is announcing two vacancies related to agroecology

ยท        (1)  *Agricultural Officer (Ecosystem services and agroecology)*

The post is located in the Agroecology Team. The Agroecology team provides
technical and policy support and guidance to countries aimed at maintaining
and enhancing ecosystem services as essential components of sustainable
farming systems through agroecology. The incumbent is part of a team of
technical specialists that includes expertise on agroecology, pollinators,
various aspects of agro-biodiversity and policy advice that emphasizes the
focus on smallholders and family farmers and SDGs.

The post is located in the Ecosystem Management Team (AGPME) one of the six
teams in the Plant Production and Protection Division. AGPME provides
advice, technical support and guidance to countries aimed at maintaining
and enhancing ecosystem services as essential components of sustainable and
integrated agricultural production systems. The incumbent is part of a Team
of technical specialists that includes expertise on sustainable
agriculture, cropping systems, plant nutrition, soil health, ecosystem
services and various aspects of agro-biodiversity. In cooperation with
staff within and outside the Division, particularly on animal production,
aquaculture and agro-forestry, the incumbent contributes to a programme of
work on SCPI that emphasizes the use of agroecological approaches and
practices that contribute to sustainable agricultural production systems
with a particular focus on smallholder
