*Participate virtually in UN climate technology meeting!*

The UNFCCC’s Technology Executive Committee (TEC) will hold its 13th meeting
on 6-9 September 2016, in Bonn, Germany. Want to share your thoughts?
Participate in the meeting via Twitter!

Please tune in to the live meeting webcast. Feel free to send questions and
comments to the TEC by including the hashtag #climatetech in your Twitter
posts.

At this meeting, the TEC will work to explore how to enhance implementation
of climate technology projects and programmes, including those emanating
from nationally determined contributions (NDCs). In this vein, the TEC will
consider linkages between technology needs assessment (TNA) and nationally
determined contributions. It will also consider how to align TNAs with
national adaptation plans, and how to monitor TNA results. Furthermore, the
Committee will discuss the work of technical expert meetings on adaptation
and mitigation, and linkages between the UNFCCC Technology and Financial
Mechanisms.

*Background*

The UNFCCC’s Technology Mechanism consists of the Technology Executive
Committee (TEC) and the Climate Technology Centre Network (CTCN). The TEC
is the policy arm of the mechanism and addresses policies issues to support
countries to enhance climate technology development and transfer. The CTCN
is the implementation arm and, inter alia, responds to developing country
requests for technical assistance on climate technology issues. Further
information on the Technology Mechanism may be found here:

Best regards,

*Ekaterina Perfilyeva*
