--------------------------
Dear All,

Greetings from AERF !!!

The Climate Investment Funds ( CIF) Partnership Forum will be held in
November, 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey. The forum is the place for stakeholders
- donor and eligible recipient countries, MDBs, UN and UN agencies, GEF,
UNFCCC, the Adaptation Fund, bilateral development agencies ,NGOs,
Indigenous Peoples, private sector entities, and scientific and technical
experts - to share CIF-related ideas and experiences and engage in dialogue
on the CIF’s strategic directions, results and impacts.
More information is available on
http://www.climateinvestmentfunds.org/cif/Partnership_Forum

The Climate Investment Funds will financially support the participation of
24 Civil Society Observers (CSO) in addition to the current CSO observers.
Applied Environmental Research Foundation, India (AERF, India) is a CSO
observer for Forest Investment Programme of CIF. As a CSO we have been
asked to nominate three candidate individuals/institutions from
Asia-Pacific developing countries. The CSO committee will then select
additional funded participants from the nominees based on a set of criteria
that will include sub-regional/country balance (aim to include countries
where CIFs are investing and avoid including participants from the same
country as the observers), interest and familiarity with CIFs, issue
balance (e.g. energy, forests, adaptation, etc.) and gender balance.

Pl. send your nominations in the format provided herewith to

 [log in to unmask] and

[log in to unmask] *not later than 23rd July 2012.*

Thanks, we look forward to your positive response.
