Learn How to Improve Biological Activity and Nutrient Cycling

Crop rotations are a proven way to achieve positive results for soil health
and improve biological activity and nutrient cycling. Cronin Farms, a
no-till operation based near Gettysburg, S.D., owned by Monty and Mike
Cronin, has crop rotations down to a science, including forages and cover
crops. The farm transitioned to no-till in 1993 and established a
rotational grazing system.

In this webinar sponsored by La Crosse Seed
<https://lessiter.omeclk.com/portal/wts/uemcnc-dob6baQ-Bc%5ErN6cq9oz%7Cd>,
Dan Forgey, agronomy manager for Cronin Farms, will discuss how the
operation adopted a diversified no-till system to focus on improving soil
health using cover crops in a rotation of corn, spring wheat, winter wheat,
sunflowers, soybeans, flax, field peas and lentils.

*Dan Forgey*
Agronomy Manager for Cronin Farms

Dan Forgey is the agronomy manager for Cronin Farms. He helps to run a
cow/calf livestock operation and 100% low-disturbance/no-till farm since
1993. Additional soil health practices utilized include diversified
cropping rotations and cover crops.

Forgey’s vision for the future of soil health is “to see more interest in
soil health so that one day it is as common in farmers' conversations as
no-till.”
