Subject: seeking No-till System publications for Agricultural Journals in
UKRAINE
To: Amir Kassam <[log in to unmask]>
*TOPIC: request for ARTICLES for publication in AGRICULTURAL JOURNALS in
UKRAINE*
During the 9th International No-till Conference in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine
organized by the private agribusiness “Agro-Soyuz UKRAINE ” conference
participants raised many questions about sunflower production. SUNFLOWER
production is a PROFIT CENTER in Ukrainian cropping systems. According to
Cargill Ukraine, the oil content of sunflower seed in Ukraine is higher in
comparision to the same sunflower seed produced in other Cargill sunflower
seed production areas in the world. Ukraine has risen to the #1 position
globally in export of processed SUNFLOWER OIL. ( Argentina is #1 in export
of SUNFLOWER SEED). In response, Randy Anderson, USDA ARS who has
participated in three of the International No-till Conferences organized by
“Agro-Soyuz UKRAINE” since year 2004 and has spent time “in the field” with
our agronomists in Ukraine has submitted an article in response to the
questions. Agro-Soyuz has disseminated the article “*Impact of Sunflower on
Land Productivity in the Semiarid Steppe of the United States”*( attached:
original + translation) to the registered No-till 2012 conference
participants. The agricultural journal “AgroExpert” plans to publish the
article “*Impact of Sunflower on Land Productivity in the Semiarid Steppe
of the United States” *in the forthcoming issue.

Neonila (Augusta) Martyniuk, responsible for International Development for
Agro-Soyuz UKRAINE is sending this communication to you with the following
request: “ Agricultural journals in Ukraine are actively seeking articles
on No-till Systems. We would like to request that you review your archives
of material on NO-TILL SYSTEMS / PLANTANDO NA PALHA / SEMBRANDA EN LA PAJA
/ [seeding directly into crop residue] and / or prepare new articles and
forward article selections to [log in to unmask] for consideration for
publication in Agricultural Journals in UKRAINE.****
** **
Thank-you for the attention to this special request! Ukrainian producers
are lagging way behind in their understanding of No-till Systems and Soil
Health. If a global impact is to be made, it is important to disseminate
what we have already understood….****
