Dear Members,

From: Bruce Potter at IRF

Request forwarded from the plant Antilles list -- reply directly to vander Burg at the contact points given below --

Dear colleagues,
I am asking this because we are currently preparing germination instructions for a forthcoming nature restoration/reforestation project on Bonaire.
We are looking for sources of information about the germination and storage behaviour of Caribbean tree species.
I am particularly interested in ways to germinate their seeds, including treatments to overcome dormancy.
Some species have recalcitrant seed or seed with intermediate storage behaviour: what is known about that.
Can someone give me some links to key literature or databases? (I am aware of the seed database of Kew).
With kind regards,
Joost
