First World Congress on Root and Tuber Crops (WCRTC ), Nanning, China, 5-10 October 2015
The First World Congress on Root and Tuber Crops (WCRTC ) will be held in Nanning, China from 5-10 October 2015. The Congress is the result of the merger of the 3rd Scientific Conference of the Global Cassava Partnership for the 21st Century (GCP21) & the 17th Symposium of the International Society for Tropical Root Crops (ISTRC).
According to information from the website, the WCRTC was developed primarily for scientists working on cassava, sweet-potato, yam, potato, taro and other aroids in tropical countries around the world. The congress also welcomes the participation of developers, donors and the private sector in order to engage in knowledge-sharing of best practices to improve the use of root and tuber crops in their business activities. It is of crucial importance that these two worlds collaborate in order to better design crops for optimized products. The website of the World Congress on Roots and Tubers can be viewed at http://www.gcp21.org/wcrtc/index.html
Have a great afternoon.
