Dear Members,
we would like to inform you that the High Level Panel of Experts (HLPE) of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) launched the consultation on the V0 draft of the study: The role of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture for food security and nutrition. <http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/cfs-hlpe/fisheries-and-aquaculture-V0>
Taking into account the results of the scoping consultation<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/cfs-hlpe/fisheries-and-aquaculture> held earlier this year, the HLPE intends to assess the importance and the challenges of fisheries and aquaculture for food security and nutrition.
The topic is available in English<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/cfs-hlpe/fisheries-and-aquaculture-V0>, French <http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/cfs-hlpe/fr/peches-et-aquaculture-v0> and Spanish<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/cfs-hlpe/es/pesca-y-la-acuicultura-v0>. The V0 draft study can be downloaded here (English)<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/cfs-hlpe/sites/cfs-hlpe/files/files/Fisheries%20and%20Aquaculture/HLPE-Fisheries_and_Aquaculture_Draft-V0_18-Nov-2013.pdf>. Your inputs will be used to further elaborate the final report and findings of the study will feed into CFS 41 Plenary session on policy convergence (October 2014).
We hope that you will find this interesting and we invite you to join the consultation.
The FSN Forum Team
