The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) is pleased to share with you two recent publications on the use of tools such as Participatory Three Dimensional Modeling (P3DM) and Participatory Video (PV) to capture local and traditional knowledge. CANARI has piloting these tools in the Caribbean and will continue to apply them in facilitating participatory processes for climate change vulnerability assessment and planning, biodiversity conservation, protected area management, watershed management and land use planning.

Please find enclosed publications:

 * CANARI Policy Brief 15: Using traditional knowledge for decision-making on climate change adaptation, advocacy and policy processes in the Caribbean
 * CANARI Technical Report 401: Case study on the use of participatory three dimensional modeling to facilitate effective contribution of civil society in the Caribbean islands in planning for action on climate change

CANARI is an independent regional technical institute working across the Caribbean islands since 1989 to facilitate and promote participatory approaches to natural resource governance to conserve biodiversity, enhance ecosystem goods and services, and enhance livelihood benefits and well-being of the poor.

We hope that you will find interest and value in the publications, and remain at your disposal if you require any additional information on the tools presented.

Sincerely,
