Subject: PROGRAM UPDATE AND ABSTRACT PROPOSAL DEADLINE 10th JANUARY FOR EIFAAC INTERNATIONAL RECREATIONAL FISHERIES SYMPOSIUM, 15 - 17 JUNE 2015, LILLEHAMMER, NORWAY
Dear all,
Please note that the program for the EIFAAC Symposium is now being updated and developed. We are confident that we will be able to present a highly interesting program, which will provide many opportunities for exchange and learning about recreational fisheries across sectors, stakeholders, disciplines, resource types and regions!
The Plenary Keynote Program is being developed. Distinguished speakers are presented from now and until the registration deadline. We are happy to announce that Professor Dr. Robert Arlinghaus and Senior Research Scientist, Adjunct Professor Dr. Eva Thorstad have accepted our invitation to give keynote plenary lectures. Read more about them and their keynote themes here: http://miljodirektoratet.no/no/Nyheter/Arrangementer/EIFAAC-Symposium-on-Recreational-fisheries/Preliminary-program-timetable/Plenary-keynote-program/
More Keynoters will be announced soon!
A number of highly relevant and interesting Topical Sessions have been accepted and we thank the proposers/chairs for their efforts so far! These sessions span a range of themes relevant to the Symposium, including presentations of cross-cutting new research, best practices as well as regional/jurisdictional management comparisons in recreational fisheries. See full list of Accepted Sessions with chairs here: http://miljodirektoratet.no/no/Nyheter/Arrangementer/EIFAAC-Symposium-on-Recreational-fisheries/Preliminary-program-timetable/Accepted-topical-technical-sessions/
During the Symposium we will also host a Fairground, aiming to attract companies and commercial actors in the sector to present their products and services for Symposium attendees. See a presentation of the Fairground here:

Please note that the deadline for abstract submissions are just after New Year, on 10th January 2015. We accept abstracts that are relevant to the full list of Themes and subthemes for the Symposium and not only abstracts that are relevant to the Accepted sessions. If you have abstracts that you think are relevant to already accepted Sessions, please send the abstract both to the listed Session chair and to the EIFAAC Symposium secretariat!
