Dear colleagues
This email has three pieces of information:

1. An E-learning tool on "Improved Feeding" has been released last week. This e-learning course comprises of 16 modules, which provides a concise but thorough information on feeding management of dairy farms in the tropics. Each module is composed of a set of structured slides. Slides contain learning material, tests and supplementary files for further reading. During the learning process the learner is led from one slide to another sequentially, but s/he can also jump from one to another slide.

See:

E-learning tool can be accessed from: http://www.fao.org/elearning/#/elc/en/courses/APH

The course can be taken online or downloaded for later use. For accessing the tool, one has to register at the E-Learning Centre of FAO (the above link will guide you through) and the registration (cost-free) will take you approx. 2 min.

2. Launch of 2015 Ring Test (Proficiency Test) for feed analysis laboratories and THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT RING TESTS. See Announcement at:

http://www.fao.org/ag/againfo/resources/newsletter/2015_newsletter_108.html

3. A new article: Do you know of a non-toxic Jatropha and its merit as animal feed? has been uploaded on 'Broadening Horizons' column of Feedipedia (http://www.feedipedia.org/content/do-you-know-non-toxic-jatropha-and-its-merit-animal-feed ). Also see Feedipedia (www.feedipedia.org<http://www.feedipedia.org> ) for new factsheets on feed resources.
