Invitation to contribute to the FAO Database of Best Practices in Sustainable Grassland Management.

Following on from the FAO E-Conference on Sustainable Grasslands, which took place from 2 to 30 September 2013, we are looking for best practices in grassland, rangeland and pastoral management. The aim is to develop a repository of good practices and success stories from different agro-ecological regions that others can learn from and duplicate. Ultimately, a synthesis of best practices can be used in the development of technical and policy guidelines for sustainable grassland management.

If you are involved in or know of management practices that enhance any of the environmental, social, economic and governance sustainability of grasslands, we invite you to share these with other stakeholders. Your contributions will be published on the FAO Sustainability Pathways website.

You can upload case studies or profiles of best practices in sustainable grassland management at: http://www.fao.org/nr/sustainability/grassland/best-practices/en/

The database will be curated by Soren Moller. Any questions can be directed to him at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

This invitation is intended for all grassland experts, practitioners and networks, including scientists, research groups, NGOs, grasslands and pastoral producers associations. Please circulate this invitation among your members and other interested stakeholders.

We look forward to sharing your success stories.

Best regards,

Nadia and Caterina
