Dear Colleagues,

Animal Welfare is now a major subject of veterinary interest and legislation.  Could it be an approach through which to justify additional support for progressive control PPR worldwide?  PPR causes significant suffering in infected animals, perhaps more so in those that recover than those that die. If we have the means to prevent this suffering should we be obliged to use it?  If so could the animal welfare organizations help us to promote global eradication?
