Dear Dr.Naveen Kumar,

This is in response to your follow up communication on Nanakpur/2012 virus.

I appreciate your perseverance to understand emergence of new lineages (I
don't mean genetic lineage) of PPR virus in India.

I have few questions. In the Nanakpur outbreak you attended, there was >60%
mortality which suggests that it is quite devastating virus. Did you or
your colleagues encounter outbreaks due to virus similar to Nanalpur/2012
after that? If not, just wondering what are the epidemiological factors
which prevented the spread? I am sure you undertake sero-epidemiology in
your region. Which virus do you use for virus neutralization test, Sungri96
or Nanakpur2012? Answers to all these questions may help us to see if at
all we need to develop an alternate vaccine candidate to protect animals
from Nanakpur2012 type virus.

Regards,
