Dear all,
The Food and Environmental Protection Laboratory of the Joint FAO/IAEA Division on Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture has a vacancy for an analytical chemist. The position is at P2 level, in the FAO/IAEA laboratories in Seibersdorf Austria, initially for 3 years. The analytical chemist will work on the development or adaptation of analytical methods for foods, focusing mainly on testing for food authenticity and safety, using a variety of techniques, including metabolomics (high resolution mass spectrometry), stable isotope analysis and spectroscopic fingerprinting methods, including advanced statistics, multivariate data analysis and class modelling. The post will also involve technology transfer, training scientists from member countries, and supporting projects to build food safety laboratory capacity in developing countries.
