Dear Network members,
From September onward, every month we are going to propose a controversial or inspiring theme to debate on through a dedicated internal virtual Forum. Your opinion matters and the Forum gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues in a safe environment not open to non-FAO people.
During this month, we will address VEGANISM.
Do you think veganism is a passing fashion of limited geographical or social extent, or an increasing and widening eating habit, which is here to stay? Is it just a personal food preference or a cry for moral praise? Can it be considered an approach to sustainability or does it only have ethical and dietary justifications? Is it a spontaneous choice of the consumer or a marketing trick? Do we need to start taking it into account in our estimates and work planning?
Access the FAO Livestock Technical Network's forum<http://goo.gl/GBbWMH> to share your knowledge and join the discussion!
Regards,
Daniela
