Dear Sony, Best of luck to you in your new endeavours. Thanks for your energetic and professional support to the Forest and Farm Facility in Nepal – much was accomplished. I know that all of the team shares my sentiments and enjoyed working with you. Good luck with the PhD!

With best regards,

Jeff

Dear FFF Family,

I am pleased to inform you that I have got scholarship from government of the Austria to pursue PhD which is going to starts from mid of March, 2016.

I would like to thank you all for your tiredness supports. I have learned so much from each and every one of you and have had opportunity to grown myself personally as well as professionally. Through the encouragement provided by our Coach Ms. Sophie Grouwels, I have been able to make myself more confident and stronger (and more focused) in areas I am interested in. I am incredibly thankful for the guidance and support.

I would further like to introduce Ms Racchya Shah ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>), who has already taken my responsibility for this FFF Programme. I kindly request you to extent similar support, which I get from you. I wish all the best for her future endeavors.

I know that I will see you all again and work together one way or the other, and I can’t wait until that day comes.

If you wish I can be connected in my personal ID [log in to unmask]<https://mail.iucn.org/owa/redir.aspx?C=Bp2O0DO8uUaOc8p9d7hOe9xqY97FR9MIDbNErYUWf24ByV-1s1r-m_ovhyVjkugAa3abpnKX-Q8.&URL=mailto%3asonybaral%40gmail.com>.

Until then Good Bye, Sony

Dear Colleagues,

Erik’s consultancy runs out on the 16th of this month and he is scouting around for other interesting work opportunities. His cv is attached. Here at the FFF Erik has become a real member of our team, playing a key role in helping organizing all of the events related to the FFF and Sub-theme 1, helping us backstop the Market Analyses and Development programme in Vietnam and Kenya and work out the details of our small-grants delivery. He also co-authored an excellent paper on engaging youth in forest and farm producer organizations. Erik has a strong interest in the programmatic aspects of the work, a commitment towards community engagement and participation in forests and natural resource management, an excellent eye for detail and is a self starter, taking initiative. He is a team player and works well with others. His interest as you can see from his short note below is to try and get more experience in the field – but I think he could also be tempted to extend his stay in Rome. I highly recommend him for any work you might have.

Please consider him or circulate his cv to anyone who might be interested.

Cheers,

Jeff

Subject: CV

Hi Jeff,

Here is my CV if you want to do me the favor and circulate it among your circle. I really appreciate the community and smallholder focus found here in the FFF and I would like to develop this work further, within or outside FAO. At this point I feel quite ready for a more “field oriented” mission (even if it’s very nice working with the excellent FFF management team, it’s always a bit far from what’s going on) and it would be nice to see it with your own eyes. I think there are some interesting things happening in Kenya within the FFF programme (perhaps replicable in the other African countries too?) and it would be exciting to follow that more closely if there are some means to do so.

Thanks and much appreciated for your support.

Erik
