Dear Facilitators,
We are coming to the close of our wonderful team effort and should all be approaching this ending point with a sense of deep accomplishment. We need now to put in a final push to cross the finish line in our winning position and ensure that we can record our achievements in a way that will be useful for others to replicate, and for us to attract more resources to an expanded Phase II.
I am writing to follow up on several earlier e-mails, conversations with all of you and of course your ongoing communications with different members of the management team.
1. The final financial closure of the Forest and Farm Facility Phase I is due on 31 December 2017.
2. Therefore we need to work extremely hard to make sure that all activities planned under LoAs as completed and reporting is in. I would urge you all to please prepare a table of all remaining LoAs that are still open and share that with your country coaches and your colleagues in the FAO offices. I will be writing a separate letter to each of the FAO Reps. Your follow-up on the remaining balances of un-spent funds, LoA records and reporting is highly appreciated, and in fact, required for the smooth closure of the FFF's Phase I.
3. M& L meetings are taking place this month and a few are scheduled for early next month. As a reminder I am re-sending the guidance for the M & L meetings. Lets use these meetings to learn, to share the learning, and to think about how to ensure that the good work continues in each country.
4. Final reports are due in by December 8th - I am re-sending the time plan for the preparation of final reports and the final reporting template that was sent earlier as well. These events should be good opportunities for communications within the country about the FFF programme and the work of the FFPOs and supportive government departments.
5. I would like to have a final group skype call on December 12 (probably at around 1 or 2 pm Rome time- to try and fit in everyone from our side spread time zones). I will send out an invitation on Outlook.
6. Please be in close touch with our in country partners and country coaches and of course your colleagues in the FAO offices and government focal points.
7. Keep up the good work with the wonderful spirit and professionalism that we have all been privileged to share!
For any budgetary issue you may contact Ms Zoraya González and Ms Tatiana Lebedeva for LoA related matters.
Let us know if there are any other questions, lets help each other finish this fine programme well! We know we have done important work!!
Best,
Jeff
