Dear FFF Facilitators,

Following up on Jeff's email, I write you to ask you if possible to bring with you pictures in high resolution and video extracts that we could use to feature the human story, and see if we could publish these stories. For that we need the best resolution, and we could take the opportunity of your visit to get it from your hard disk. Usually you send us pictures with the monthly report, but we can not use these pictures because of their reduced format. Please bring with you the best material you have available in the highest resolution (images, photos, video).

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Kind regards,

Marguerite

Subject: FFF Retreat Agenda 2017 updated.docx

Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to follow up on Martina's earlier e-mail with an updated Retreat Agenda and some clarifications on how we want to structure the discussions and participation for the event.
Day 1: Please arrive early at FAO as it can take time to get through the new security system and get your passes. Someone from FFF will be at reception to try and help from 0800 to 08:25 am. Then come to the German Room. Please be prepared to help out in chairing different sessions as suggested - we can always adjust if needed.

1. You will see that we are separating out the discussions according to the three pillars and the story-telling. In order to make this easier for us - please be sure that your PowerPoint presentations stick to the structure suggested (attached template with an additional slide - no 9 - to capture any unexpected results as suggested by Kisoyan) with results by pillar and the story telling and personal reflections and have these ready to hand over to Marco as soon as you arrive on Monday morning - so he can spend the first 1.5 hours while we will have a discussion about the year - in making combined ppts for Pillar 1, Pillar 2, Pillar 3 and for the storytelling and personal reflections.

2. In each of the first three sharing sessions we will ask the facilitators to briefly share what they accomplished under the pillar begin discussed and then have a discussion around this.

3. In the last session of the first day we will ask everyone to share the story they have identified - please be ready to do this verbally without referring to the power point slide you will have prepared- this should be done in a relaxed way more like at village meeting - it can be done in English or Spanish.

4. We are inviting colleagues within FAO who are interested to come as observers for the sharing and storytelling sessions if they are interested.

Day 2.

5. Please come prepared with the gender assessment questionnaires which will also provide good inputs for discussion during the gender training session on Tuesday afternoon.

6. In the afternoon we will have a "speed collaboration planning" opportunity to talk briefly with FOA colleagues - we will try to organize this so everyone gets 10 minutes at the table of the key partners who might be collaborating with FFF this year (2017)in each country - whether it is UNREDD, FLEGT, Social Forestry Team members, Forest Landscape Restoration or Climate Change or others.

7. At the end of the day we will share plans for Phase II.
Day 3.

8. This will be the work plan discussion day - so please be ready to share your ideas and plans to make this final year of Phase I memorable, bearing in mind the work already underway, what is possible to initiate quickly and complete and how to highlight the learning and make maximum impact visible and be sure we are able to wrap up and report on the work.

As Sophie said in her e-mail - it is very cold this year - some nights below 0 degrees Centigrade so bring warm clothes and layers and of course we will warm each other up with good energy and shared enthusiasm. Innovative ideas for ice breaking and relaxing activities are welcome.

We wish everyone safe travels.

Best,
Jeff
