Marguerite - you can explain tomorrow - I think we are very close. I have had a lot of compliments from the sneak previews people have had of the Inforgraphic so far. Mandala likeness has not gone unrecognized - indeed it is rumored that a new meditation circle may be established to stare at this Infographic will chanting FFFFFFFFFffffff.... (joke) but I am really getting too like it. Lets try and nail this down tomorrow. Jeff

Dear All, thanks for the updated version. It looks really good!! I know it is late to add comments again but I did not have the chance these days to talk with you. I sent comments on the 27 May which I could not discuss with you since I was not in the office. I notice excellent improvements in the color code, and some icons ... However i think we could still improve the visibility of the "getting organized" blue concept. As it is now I find it a little bit confusing with the forest and farm linkages. The family icon in blue should not be put on the green part I believe, but Only inside of the blue circle. The family icon put on top of the forest and farm linkage title could also mean that there is a reason for this: for example I mean it seems that ecological functions is together with the family icon creating something , and it seems that ecological functions + cultural vitality = well being. This is not what we want to say. The blue concept of getting organized could be better expressed in linking more family icons together, in a way which would be more disconnected from the green circle. I also repeat that the "getting organized" icons developed in the past were good and were adding emphazis on this concept. I find the little circle of family icons together on the bottom not very nice. We need to have this because indeed the "getting organized" concept is not clear enough as it is now on the big mandala.

Concerning the logos perhaps this version is not the final one but I said weeks ago that we should have only FFF logo, or if we have FAO logo , then IUCN and IIEED logos should also be there. I will think of the titles, I prefer the forest and family farm together....

Cheers,

Marguerite

Dear all,

Please have a look at this infographic which is in the final stages of production now. The idea is that there are two interconnected spheres - the inner green one - with the tab to the top illustrates the inter-relationships between forests and family farms which combine to provide cultural vitality, food security and nutrition, livelihoods etc. and the blue one which are the benefits that come from forest and farm producer organizations getting together.
We are struggling with the top one in particular. We have tried: Forests and Family Farms are part of on system, and thought also of: Forests and Family Farms Together - ensuring well being of people and ecosystems (can ecosystems be said to have "well-being"?). Please apply your creative juices.
The QR Codes will take viewers to web-pages which will further develop the "pizza slices" of interconnections and benefits.

What do you think? Jeff
