Dear FFF Colleagues,
I would like to introduce you to Ms Helena Lehtonen, a national from Finland, wo will be working as an UN Volunteer for 12 months in the FFF Zambia team as an Assistant national facilitator. She will mainly support issues related to implementation of FFF Phase II to enable Climate resilient landscapes and improved livelihoods. Currently she is working via telecommunications from Finland but will relocate to Zambia in January.
Helena is studying Forest economics and marketing in University of Helsinki and will be graduating by the end of the year. While specializing on forest economics and marketing she has knowledge and some field experience on land-use issues, and the relations between agriculture and forestry. Helena had some previous exposure to FAO, as she worked as an intern in the REDD+ team at FAO's HQ in 2019 and visited FAO's Bangkok office in 2017 while participating to a Tropical field course with University of Helsinki in Lao PDR. She had also previously worked as an intern in the Embassy of Finland in Rome focusing on Rome Based UN Agencies (FAO, WFP, IFAD) and CFS.
Helena will come briefly on the team call today, so we can say hi!
Sophie
