Dear Members,

The Rome-Agencies have informed us that CIGNA has extended the waiver to COVID-19 related treatment under BMIP/MMBP until 31 May 2020, so as to cover 100% of costs.

As we continue navigating the COVID-19 pandemic as one big family, we are pleased to announce that Cigna under our BMIP/MMBP plans, will further expand coverage for COVID-19 treatment by waiving participant’s cost-sharing for COVID-19 treatment.

Effective today, for any member diagnosed with COVID-19, Cigna will support with their care needs and will waive the participant’s cost-sharing for all COVID-19 in-network treatment, whether that is provided in an in-patient or out-patient context regardless in or out of Cigna network.

(This must be done through in-network service providers for the USA.)

This will prevail until May 31st 2020. These additional measures ensure the protection of employees, retirees & participants in our health schemes against COVID-19.

It is important to remember that currently COVID-19 testing and treatment are typically being coordinated and provided by local government health systems around the world, and local regulations may apply.

For those of us locked down in Italy, the Government has now extended the quarantine period until 03 May.

Stay at home & be safe.
