Dear Members,

" 1. We are pleased to advise that Sergio Arvizu, the Chief Executive Officer of our Pension Fund will join us for the first time since he became the head of the Fund. He will be accompanied by Alan Blythe, the head of the Geneva office, which handles pension-related matters for those of us who reside in Europe, and by Jaana Sareva, the Legal Counsel of the Fund. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet, and ask questions of those who are so much involved in our financial wellbeing. Of particular interest should be advance information of the actuarial evaluation of the Fund.

2. Further, as announced in the documentation issued for the AGA, we have the pleasure to confirm to you that Gary Howe, the Director of the Strategic Planning Division at IFAD, will give us a talk on the situation and developments in the three Rome-based food Agencies, for better or for worse, over the past decade. As most of our membership worked in one or more of the three Organizations during their careers, it will no doubt stimulate an interesting discussion. His presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.

3. So plan to stay with us at 1430 on Wednesday, 28 May, for Gary's presentation, immediately after a lunch break after the finish of the normal business of our Annual Meeting.

4. We look forward to seeing many of you, appropriately, in the IFAD building this year.

With best wishes,

Alan Prien
President, FFOA
