Dear Members,
We have been informed by FAO Social Security that Cigna (the new insurance company that has taken over from Allianz as of January 2021) is collecting the premiums for the Group Life and Disability Insurance (GLADI) After Service Coverage.
An email including the premiums for the first semester 2021 was sent by Cigna in the last week of December 2020 to all Plan members and on 28 January 2021, a follow up email was sent to participants who had not paid their premiums yet.
FAO is actively following up with Cigna on the status of the payments received, but it seems that some retirees have not paid their premiums yet and risk losing coverage.
FFOA members who might not have received their invoices from Cigna should send an email to FAO Social Security ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) informing it that they are still to receive an invoice from Cigna. Premiums are payable in advance to Cigna for six months coverage, January and June of each year.
Keep safe and well.
