Dear Mountain Partnership Members and Friends,

As the climate conference in Paris known as COP21 is now underway, we are writing to be sure you know about the events highlighting issues that pertain to mountain communities and areas. Attached is a list of the side events, photo exhibitions and other mountain-related events taking place during the 21st session of the Conference of Parties (COP21) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Paris, France.

Among these, the MP Secretariat is directly co-organizing two side events:

Adapting to climate change - success stores and challenges from across
mountain ranges
     Thursday 10 December at 13:15-14:45
     Observer room 08
     Speakers to include representatives of:
     The governments of Italy, Morocco and Tajikistan; Asociación Civil Oikos; The Mountain Institute

Celebrating International Mountain Day 2015: Adapting and building resilience to climate change in mountain communities
    Friday 11 December at 13:15-14:45
     Observer room 04
     Speakers to include representatives of:
     The governments of Italy, Kyrgyzstan and Lesotho; Colorado State University; the Food and
     Agriculture Organization of the United Nations; Slow Food
