Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Office for Near East and North Africa (NENA) is hosting a series of webinars on rainwater harvesting (RWH) to support knowledge exchange and debate on RWH applications and illustrate the diversity of approaches with country examples. The webinars will demonstrate the options to unlock the potential of RWH applications in the NENA region by highlighting the role of rainwater management in overcoming the current challenges in achieving water security.

This webinar series is implemented within the framework of the Water Scarcity Initiative of the FAO Regional Office and with the support of the regional Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency-funded project "Implementing the 2030 Agenda for water efficiency, productivity and sustainability in NENA countries<fao.org/in-action/water-efficiency-nena/en/>". The webinars are organized jointly between FAO, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas and the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, along with other partner institutions.

The webinar series begins on 31 May and will extend until the end of the year. More information is available in the attached flyer. Register here<https://fao.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Fk-1JifjTCmUnaMRLw5zVg> for the first webinar on 31 May 2022 at 13.00-14.30 (GMT+2) on "Setting the scene".

With kind regards,
