Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,

The Mountain Partnership Secretariat is looking for experts in resilient watershed management to contribute to the implementation of a three-year project sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) and being implemented in collaboration with the Secretariat. The project aims at enhancing the capacities of institutions and communities on risk-based watershed management approach for forest and land use management, and improving local populations' livelihoods.

The posts are located in various duty stations, including Rome, Lima, Baguio and Manila.

The assignment will be for a period from three to eleven months and qualifications include:

  *   a university degree in the fields of forestry, geography, agriculture, natural resource management, rural development, environmental sciences, ecology, environmental law, environmental engineering, economics, and/or related field;
  *   at least three years of relevant experience in results-based project/programme planning and monitoring, including practical experience in project formulation, appraisal, implementation, monitoring, communication and/or in financial and budget planning;
  *   working knowledge of English and Spanish.
