Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,
We take this opportunity to share with you the Nairobi work programme (NWP)'s three calls for submissions in the area of adaptation and climate resilience, to inform the climate negotiations during the 23rd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 23) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in November 2017. Submissions will be made available to the general public.
The NWP invites UNFCCC Parties, NWP partner organizations and other relevant organizations to share their organization's submission(s) on the following three topics:
* Human Settlements: Share your recent activities and research, good practices, lessons learned and tools to assess vulnerability to climate change, plan for adaptation and work through NAPs to enhance climate resilience in cities, towns and villages. Learn more.<http://www4.unfccc.int/sites/NWP/Pages/HS-page.aspx>
* Economic Diversification: Tell the NWP about your adaptation actions and plans that could enhance economic diversification and have mitigation co-benefits. Learn more.<http://www4.unfccc.int/sites/NWP/News/Pages/Call-for-subissions-for-economic-diversification-.aspx>
* Adaptation Resilience Indicators: Describe the indicators of adaptation and resilience you have developed or used at national level, local level and/or in specific sectors. Submissions must be made by 20 September 2017. For further information on the submission process and to access templates for submission, click on the 'Learn more' links above.
The NWP team is available to respond to any questions via email at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
