Dear colleagues,
As you may know, the 3rd World Landslide Forum will be held from 2-6 June 2014 in Beijing. FAO is actively involved in the preparation of the event as a supporting institution of the International Consortium on Landslides (ICL), which is the main organizer of the Forum.
In particular, FAO is organizing a session entitled "Building resilient landscapes: socio-economic, political and environmental dimensions in landslide risk reduction" (see attached concept note).
We invite all interested colleagues to submit abstracts for this session, if possible by 15 June.
Abstracts can be submitted as follows:
1. Go to the WLF3 website http://wlf3.professional.com.cn/
2. On the Latest News section on the right, click Abstract Submission is open now<http://www.professional.com.cn/iEBMS1940/spa/spa_p1_authors.aspx?oc=10&cc=112121750750>
3. Register with your email address and fill in the required form
4. Copy and paste the abstract and tick the session A8 Building resilient landscapes on the top bar
5. Upload the abstract
In case you encounter difficulties with uploading your abstract you can submit it directly to Mr Gérard Marquis ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>). We also encourage you to share this announcement with your contact lists.
We very much look forward to your active participation in the Forum.
Best regards
