Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,

Applications are open for the “GROW 2020 - Agrobiodiversity in a Changing Climate”<http://www.fao.org/index.php?id=105091> Summer School, to be held online, from 15 to 25 September 2020.

The course is organized by the Mountain Partnership Secretariat, in collaboration with the Sapienza University of Rome, the Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The course will offer live online classes, with sessions from 14:00 to 18:00hrs (Rome time, UTC/GMT + 2 hours). Recorded lectures and additional material will be accessible for participants enrolled in the course at any time.

Students who attend at least 75 percent of the scheduled activities will obtain a Higher Education Course (HEC) Certificate of Attendance and 6 University Credits recognized in the European University system.

Enrolment fee: 200 euro.

Scholarships are offered for the course to qualified applicants. Participants can apply for a scholarship in the application form.

Innovation Contest

“Improving smallholders’ livelihoods through agrobiodiversity and organic solutions”

For the first time, this year all applicants will have the opportunity to participate in the innovation contest by submitting their innovative ideas in response to this year’s theme:

“How would YOU improve smallholders’ livelihoods through agrobiodiversity and organic solutions, especially in such fragile ecosystems as mountains and islands?”

A brief proposal (up to 400 words) shall be submitted during the application to the GROW Summer School, via the application form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSda6inq8ycXz_MUDqgNQvLsLXpBl-MFhlBVMM7IVbElQjZP2A/viewform>. The winning proposal will be announced on the last day of the course. A prize and certificate will be awarded to the winner.
