Summer field school on
mountain ecosystems and resource management

Dear Mountain Partnership members and friends,



The Grassroots Institute<http://www.fao.org/mountain-partnership/members/members-detail/en/c/161915/>, a member of the Mountain Partnership, is co-organizing an online summer field school on mountain ecosystems and resource management<https://www.grassrootsglobal.net/mer2020/> together with 64 universities, institutions and organizations in 21 countries.

The international training programme will examine mountain ecosystems in the context of sustainable development, natural resource management and conservation. Using case studies from mountain regions around the world, the field school will covers topics including freshwater ecosystems, watershed management, ecotourism, mountain livelihoods, climate change and more.

The summer field school aims to equip researchers, students, practitioners and teachers interested in learning about mountain ecosystems with the practical approaches, knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges of global sustainable development and natural resource management.
