Dear Colleagues,

The call for full papers for the 3rd World Landslide Forum has been extended to 15 October 2013.

The Forum will be held on 2-6 June 2014 in Beijing and FAO is actively involved in the preparation of the event as a supporting institution of the International Consortium on Landslides (ICL), which is the main organizer of the Forum.

In particular, FAO is organizing a session entitled "Building resilient landscapes: socio-economic, political and environmental dimensions in landslide risk reduction" (see attached concept note).

We invite all interested colleagues to submit full papers for this session by 15 October.

Full papers along with abstracts can be submitted as follows:


1.      Go to the WLF3 website http://www.wlf3.org/

 1.  On the Latest News section on the right, click FULL PAPER submission is open until 15 October 2013<http://www.professional.com.cn/iEBMS1940/logon/log_p1_logon.aspx?oc=10&cc=2013WLF3&AppSessionID=ejlfa5fhmfc2fekfb2&SPAmode=SUB>

3.      Register with your email address and fill in the required form

4.      Copy and paste the paper and tick the session A8 Building resilient landscapes on the top bar

5.      Upload the paper
