Dear Members,

Today we would like to share the latest comments received for the online consultation on<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/forum/discussions/forestry> the first draft of the FAO Voluntary Guidelines on national forest monitoring. <http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/forum/discussions/forestry>

FAO's Forestry Department is inviting you to have your say on a draft version of the Voluntary Guidelines - Section III<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/sites/default/files/files/121_forestry_monitoring/Draft_FAO_VG_NFMA.pdf>, which includes the elements needed to establish and sustain National Forest Monitoring Systems.

Inputs of interested members and of a broad set of experts and practitioners working on forestry will help to improve the document and ensure it reflects countries' forests needs and peculiarities.

If you are interested in forestry, please take a look at the draft and provide comments either by responding to the questions proposed by Eduardo Mansur or by providing general feedback.

We hope that you appreciate the Forestry Department's interest in receiving feedback from a wide audience and encourage you to take advantage of the remaining days to take part in this consultation.

As always, comments are most welcome in English<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/forum/discussions/forestry>, French<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/fr/forum/discussions/forestry> and Spanish<http://www.fao.org/fsnforum/es/forum/discussions/forestry>.
