Policy Guidance series

Strengthening sector policies for better food security and nutrition results

[_]

Dear Members,

Achieving food security and nutrition requires a coordinated set of actions on a number of fronts.

A newly released series of guidance notes aims to provide policy-makers and their partners with an analysis of how sectoral policies can have an impact on the causes of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition.

[Policy guidance series]<http://www.fao.org/publications/policy-guidance-series/en/>

The notes address the question of how food security and nutrition objectives can be integrated in these policies and highlight the role of inclusive dialogue with stakeholders to improve policy coherence.

The following sectors are included: Fisheries and Aquaculture, Livestock, Forestry, Social Protection, Climate Change, Gender Equality, Land Tenure and Political Economy. More titles will be released over the next few months.

Visit the page and download the policy guidance notes here. <http://www.fao.org/publications/policy-guidance-series/en/>

The guidance notes have been developed through the FAO-EU "Food and Nutrition Security Impact, Resilience, Sustainability and Transformation" (FIRST) programme<http://www.fao.org/europeanunion/eu-projects/first/en/>.

As usual, your feedback is much apreciated.

Your FSN Forum Team
