Dear Partners and Colleagues,

The programme of work of the Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP) has been growing significantly since its launch in May 2006 in providing guidance on further steps for sustainable development of bioenergy. This has been possible thanks to your valuable contributions.

The 19th Steering Committee meeting, to be held in Rome on 2 December 2016 (to be confirmed), will discuss GBEP's Chairmanship for the next biennium (2017-2018). We would be very pleased to receive expressions of interest to take over these important roles. If no expression of interest will be received by 15 September 2016, the GBEP Secretariat will explore the possibility to further extend the current Chairmanship, in order to prepare the related discussion at the Rome Steering Committee meeting.

I very much look forward to seeing you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Michela
