Dear Partners and Observers,
One of the outcomes of the 13th GBEP WGCB meeting was the establishment of an informal electronic group to investigate the bioenergy links with food security and nutrition. The aim of the group is to investigate how sustainable bioenergy can be used in agri-food systems to enhance nutrition outcomes, for example, through improved diets, health and cooking practices. The electronic group is led by the Food Security and Nutrition (ESN) division in FAO; as a first step in this process, ESN are carrying out a narrative literature review to identify and classify existing literature on this theme.
The literature review outline is attached, detailing the main questions the literature review intends to address. Comments from Partners and Observers on this outline are welcomed by 5 December 2021.
Partners and Observers are also warmly encouraged to send any relevant publications, reports or project documents that they think should be included in the literature review.
We remain available for any clarifications.
Kind regards,
GBEP Secretariat
