Dear Partners and Observers,

We would like to remind you that the e-group on Bioenergy and Nutrition will be holding a short meeting on Tuesday 12 July at 1400 CEST (UTC+2) to recap the work carried out, discuss ideas for further activities and develop a work plan for the group for the rest of 2022. Please register in advance for the meeting here<https://fao.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJUlf-6uqDspEtPOt2n3FIpqX2bEbM9lXXU2>. Please find below an agenda for the meeting, as well as some background information on the activities already carried out by the group.

Agenda:

*         Introductions of participants - 5 minutes

* Brief overview of the work already carried out by the e-group in 2022 - 10 minutes

* Proposals and discussions on further activities - 15 minutes

* Agreement on next steps and closure - 10 minutes

Background information on activities:

The Literature Review, prepared as a contribution by FAO to the programme of the work of GBEP, was finalised in April 2022 and has been published on the GBEP website<http://www.globalbioenergy.org/programmeofwork/working-group-on-capacity-building-for-sustainable-bioenergy/linkages-between-bioenergy-and-nutrition/pt/>. To publicise and discuss the Review, a webinar<http://www.globalbioenergy.org/events1/gbep-events-2022/working-group-on-capacity-building-meetings-and-activities-2022/en/> was held on 30 May where bioenergy and nutrition communities came together to see how the positive linkages between bioenergy and nutrition could be best leveraged, and to hear an example of the linkages in practice in small-scale gasification value chains.

If you have any questions, or would like to provide comments or proposals prior to the meeting, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,
GBEP Secretariat
