Subject: GBEP - AG6 "Bioenergy and Water" - Call for Examples of Positive Bioenergy & Water Relationships

Dear GBEP Partners and Observers,

As you know, at the GBEP meetings that took place in Rome in November 2014 it was decided to establish, within the GBEP Working Group on Capacity Building (WGCB), the Activity Group 6 "Bioenergy and Water". The goal of this Activity Group, which is led by IEA / IEA Bioenergy, is to identify and disseminate ways of integrating bioenergy systems into agriculture and forestry landscapes to improve sustainable management of water resources.

AG6 is launching a Call for Examples of Positive Bioenergy & Water Relationships, with the aim to showcase innovative examples of how bioenergy systems (in both the feedstock production and conversion phases) can produce positive impacts on the status of water.
Submissions will be reviewed by the Activity Group and the examples submitted will form the basis of the AG6 Workshop on Bioenergy and Water planned for the second half of 2015 (date and location to be confirmed).

Kindly use the attached template to make electronic submissions to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> at the GBEP Secretariat by Friday 8 May 2015.

In addition, we would like to kindly ask you to send us, by Monday 6 April, the list of organizations (including contact persons) and individuals that you think we should reach out to for this call.

Thank you in advance for your kind feedback.

Best regards,

GBEP Secretariat
