Ramona noted in a previous message that:

I thought that the objective of these discussions was to establish the protocols and standards regarding (1) obtaining the PUIDs, (2) maintaining them and (3) using them. 

(3) was extensively discussed and is now practically defined.

Topics (1) obtaining the PUIDs and (2) maintaining them affect data originators who will need to curate the PUIDs for GLIS to be effective.

Should this group consider the protocols of obtaining and maintaining PUIDs for data originators (gene banks)?
