The COVID-19 pandemic has forced organizations and individuals to embrace
new practices such as social distancing and remote working. In fact, people
have increasingly relied on the internet to work, shop and stay
entertained. However, while the world is focused on the health and economic
threats posed by COVID-19, cyber criminals are capitalizing on this crisis:
in just few months, the world became far more digitally connected and
vulnerable than ever.

The purpose of this book is to disseminate cutting-edge research results,
highlight research challenges and open issues, and promotes further
research interest and activities in security and privacy in the COVID-19's
era.

This book is intended to provide a useful material for academicians,
researchers, startup companies, students, scholars, executives and
decision-makers from enterprises, ICT procurement managers and healthcare
actors. Moreover, the book will provide insights and support executives
concerned with the management of expertise, knowledge, information, and
organizational development in different types of work communities and
environments.

Recommended topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

   - Cyber crisis management during a pandemic
   - Privacy issues related to contact tracing from both technical and
   legal perspectives (e.g., GDPR)
   - Privacy-preserving contact tracing applications
   - Recommendations and guidelines for preventing, detecting and
responding to cyber threats during a pandemic
   - Risks of work from home and mitigation strategies
   - Cybersecurity Risks in a Pandemic
   - Privacy during COVID-19: case studies
   - COVID-19’s impact on healthcare’s security infrastructure
