These food codes are all in FNDDS 4.1; I suppose it must happen that as the NHANES two-year cycle begins, there is some overlap between databases used to code What We Eat in America. All previous versions of the FNDDS are available on the USDA website.

Subject: FW: difference between NHANES 2009-2010 and FNDDS 5.0
I think this might be a good question for the food composition list serv. Do any of you know how to confirm that individual foods listed in NHANES match up with the FNDDS database?
I have a similar question to the one posed by this NHANES list serv member below.
Thanks in advance!
Linda

Subject: difference between NHANES 2009-2010 and FNDDS 5.0
Dear List.
Could it be that some aliments of the individual food dietary survey of NHANES 2009-2010 are not present in the FNDDS 5.0 database?
I am thinking in particular about the following aliments as I cannot find them in the main food description table (mainfooddesc.sas of FNDDS 5.0).
