Dear Network Members,

We are pleased to share the latest report of the Meat Market Review<https://www.fao.org/3/cb7886en/cb7886en.pdf>, which is a follow up to the Food Outlook<https://www.fao.org/3/cb7491en/cb7491en.pdf> November issue. The report provides a detailed account of the emerging trends and outlook in global meat markets, including international meat prices, global production and trade in meat and meat products across the four main meat types. International meat prices remained high amid tight exportable supplies, despite recent price declines due to a slowdown in imports by China. Meanwhile, world meat production is anticipated to expand, sustained by solid pig meat output in Asia. International meat trade is forecast to increase by 1.1 percent in 2021, but marking the slowest pace of growth in six years.

We wish you all a joyous Holiday season and a productive New Year!
