Press Conference to launch 2012 edition of OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook

Journalists are invited to a Press Conference by OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría and FAO Director- General José Graziano da Silva on Wednesday 11 July to mark the launch of the 2012 edition of the OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook.
Published annually since 2005, the OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook presents projections and related market analysis for some 20 agricultural products over a ten-year horizon. Benefiting from the commodity, policy and country expertise of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the report analyzes world commodity market trends and medium-term prospects for the main agricultural products. It shows how these markets are influenced by economic developments and government policies and highlights some of the risks and uncertainties that may influence market outcomes over the coming decade.
The event will be webcast at http://www.fao.org/webcast/
