Tuesday, 4 December – The UN Climate Change Conference continues in Doha, Qatar. A press conference at 9.30 am on Tuesday 4 December in Conference Room 1 the Qatar National Convention Center will provide an overview of policy recommendations contained in the Food security and climate change report, prepared by High Level Panel of Experts for the Committee on World Food Security. Thursday 6 December – Launch of FAO’s flagship annual publication the State of Food and Agriculture 2012. At a press conference at 10.30 at FAO headquarters the Director-General José Graziano da Silva and Assistant Director-General for Economic and Social, Jomo Sundaram, will present the main findings of the report. The press conference will be webcast at http://www.fao.org/webcast/
Thursday 6 December – Update of the Food Price Index and a new Crop Prospects and Food Situation report will be published.
