International Mountain Day update
Dear Mountain Partnership Members and Friends,
We hope this email finds you and your families safe and well.
As you know, IMD is less than one month away! We encourage you to organize virtual events (virtual webinars, panels, information sessions) or safe in person events (socially distanced hikes, outdoor events), and we want to make sure that you have all of the communication and information materials available to promote your activities.
The Mountain Partnership Secretariat and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in close collaboration with the Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment developed infographics<http://www.fao.org/international-mountain-day/information-material/en/> on this year's IMD theme, 'Mountain Biodiversity Matters'.
Children's activities <http://www.fao.org/international-mountain-day/information-material/en/> on mountain biodiversity are also available, inlcuding colouring pages and a word search.
Here you can find a collection resources<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1tYG8ih_T6VJiKHghlJOaig_e-gBbvGqF?usp=sharing> for marketing and communications. If you are planning an event, please let us know by sending an email to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> so that we can promote it through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the IMD website<http://www.fao.org/international-mountain-day/en/>.
There is still time to enter the International Mountain Day photo contest<http://www.fao.org/international-mountain-day/photo-contest/en/> on mountain biodiversity! The deadline to participate is 23 November (12.00 CET).
Remember to use the official hashtag #MountainsMatter and tag us in your posts so we can share them and like/comment! Please reach out with any questions or requests, and we will be happy to help you.
Kind regards,
The Mountain Partnership Secretariat
