Dear colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we announce the online publication of our collective book entitled: Innovative markets for sustainable agriculture: How innovations in market institutions encourage sustainable agriculture in developing countries. Hard copies should be ready for distribution in September.
The book is a collaboration between INRA, AGP, FAO SLM/Panama, ESN (ex-AGS) and many social entrepreneurs and local partners in developing countries. It includes in-depth case studies of institutional innovations from 14 different countries. We extend our thanks to all of you who helped facilitate field visits, peer reviews, contracts, or just sharing information as part of this participatory research process.

We are continuing this work within SP4, by turning these findings into a guide for practitioners who are constructing markets for sustainably farmed products at a local level. We just held our first writeshop in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in July with support from FAO RAP, to kick off the participatory guidebook writing process that will continue next year.
Please contact us with any questions about this stream of work.
Best regards,
Allison Loconto, Anne Sophie Poisot, Pilar Santacoloma and Marcello Vicovaro
